Job Description
Oversee and optimize critical chemical surface treatment processes for surgical instruments, including passivation, chemical polishing, electroplating, and ultrasonic cleaning.
Monitor and maintain chemical solution parameters, concentrations, and temperatures to ensure compliance with strict international medical device standards (like DIN, ISO 13485).
Supervise the safe handling, storage, and disposal of industrial chemicals and coordinate with environmental compliance teams regarding wastewater/effluent treatment.
Conduct root-cause analysis on any chemical process deviations or surface defects to ensure consistent product finish quality.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.
Deep understanding of chemical safety protocols, electrochemistry, and material surface treatments.
Preference: Direct experience working with stainless steel passivation or surface treatments in an export-oriented medical instrument or automotive component manufacturing unit is strongly preferred.
