CNC Machinist (Milling, Swiss Lathe & Laser)
Dr. Frigz International is a leading global manufacturer of premium surgical, dental, and medical instruments. We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our advanced manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-axis CNC milling machines, Swiss-type lathes, and precision laser cutting equipment. You will play a direct role in producing life-saving medical devices, working with medical-grade materials such as stainless steel and titanium to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills, Swiss-style lathes, and laser cutters to produce complex, high-precision surgical instruments.
Tooling & Calibration: Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, attachments, and work-holding devices.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and CMMs to ensure strict adherence to blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Troubleshooting: Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, adjust offsets, and replace worn tools to maintain tight tolerances.
Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to strict medical manufacturing standards (ISO 13485/FDA regulations).
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in CNC machining or a related technical trade is highly preferred.
3+ years of hands-on experience operating CNC Mills and Swiss-style lathes. (Experience with laser cutting systems is a strong plus).
Proven ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and GD&T symbols.
Experience machining medical-grade materials is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing defect-free, precision instruments.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
