Job Description

As an Industrial Engineer, your primary mission is efficiency and scale. You will study our manufacturing processes from end to end, analyzing floor layouts, material handling, labor utilization, and machine cycle times. You will be instrumental in deploying Lean methodologies, designing optimized plant layouts, and integrating digital workflow tracking to help us scale production while maintaining impeccable quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Mapping & Optimization: Map current-state manufacturing workflows to identify bottlenecks, non-value-added activities, and material handling inefficiencies; design and implement streamlined future-state workflows.

  • Capacity Planning & Line Balancing: Analyze machine capacities, cycle times, and labor requirements to balance production lines, optimize resource allocation, and meet shifting global market demands.

  • Lean Manufacturing Deployment: Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to minimize waste and reduce production lead times.

  • Plant Layout Design: Design and optimize factory floor layouts (using AutoCAD or SolidWorks) to minimize material travel distance, improve ergonomic safety, and accommodate new automated machinery.

  • Data Automation & KPI Tracking: Develop and monitor operational metrics (OEE, yield rates, cycle times). Collaborate with tech teams to implement digital dashboards or automation triggers that track shop-floor performance in real time.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Conduct time-and-motion studies to establish baseline production standards and document standardized work instructions for manufacturing teams.

  • Quality & Compliance Alignment: Ensure all process engineering changes strictly comply with international medical device standards, including ISO 13485 and global regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Research.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering (experience in high-volume precision manufacturing or automated assembly environments is highly preferred).

  • Technical Proficiency:
Strong hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools (Green/Black Belt certification is a major asset).
    Proficiency in layout design software
Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, Minitab, or BI tools) to interpret complex operational data.

  • Core Competencies:
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a structural, data-driven mindset.
Strong communication and change-management skills—ability to effectively train and collaborate with floor operators as well as executive leadership.
Passion for workflow automation, operational scaling, and modern manufacturing technology.
